10 Genius Life Hacks We Wish We Knew Sooner

1. Stretch

Set aside at least five minutes of your morning to stretch when you wake up. Pay attention to any pain or soreness, and make sure to stretch and move to relieve tension.

2. Switch “I’m Sorry” for “Thank You”

You might say "I'm sorry" when it's not necessary. One user says that their best life hack is to replace "I'm sorry" with "thank you."

3. Don’t Be Afraid To Say No

If something doesn't feel right to you, you can say "no." You can say no if you have too many plans. If you don't want to talk to anyone, you can say... You know what I mean.

4. Unplug

Today, people are so into social media that it affects everything they do. We find it hard to stop using virtual reality and the internet, so we use them more than other people.

5. Vinegar for Battery Corrosion

I couldn't get new batteries because I didn't have a car. I looked for ways to clean the batteries and make them last longer and came across the vinegar method.

6. No Buts

Since we change our plans every day, a great life hack is to say "yes" instead of "but." But is a bad word that could be misunderstood as a way to defend yourself.

7. Positive Internal Monologue

Our mental monologue is the only thing that stays the same in our lives. When we're by ourselves, we have to deal with our own thoughts and feelings, so we should be kind to ourselves.

8. Wear a Jacket to Bed

Wearing a jacket ensures you’ll be warm when you wake up and have less desire to stay in bed, making it easier to acclimate to the day.

9. Emergency Card

Even when you're with your best friends, you should always have an emergency contact card with you. Write down your blood type, any medical problems you have, and any allergies you have.

10. Four Right Turns

On your way home, you see a car that seems to be going in the same direction as you. To see if they are really following you, make four right turns to make a square and look back to see if they are still there.
